  4. Instrumental Track (eligible for licensure in Ohio)

Performance Track

This track will help you:

  • prepare to teach across multi-age groups in private religious schools (general music, choir, and band)
  • give elementary through advanced applied instruction
  • enter a graduate program in music performance

Non-performance Track

The Non-performance track will help you:

  • prepare to teach across multi-age groups in private religious schools (general music, choir, and band)
  • give elementary through intermediate applied instruction

Choral and General Music Track

The Choral and General Music Track will prepare you to:

  • serve in either public or private institutions in Ohio
  • teach general music and choir at any level from early childhood through twelfth grade
  • give elementary through intermediate applied instruction

This program is approved for licensure eligibility in Ohio.

Instrumental Track

The Instrumental Track will prepare you to:

  • serve in either public or private institutions in Ohio, teaching band and instrumental courses at any level from early childhood through twelfth grade,
  • give elementary through intermediate applied instruction.

This program is approved for licensure eligibility in Ohio.

The BA degree in Elementary Education and Music Education will help you teach others in private Christian elementary and music classrooms and give elementary through intermediate applied instruction.

Within the Music Education Core, you’ll have two concentrations to choose from:

  • Choral/General Music
  • Instrumental.
